Virtual University of Pakistan (VU)

Naveed A. Malik, a well-known figure in our country, launched Virtual University in 2002. He has been credited at all levels for pioneering the E-learning concept in Pakistan in the shape of the Virtual University of Pakistan. The Government established the Virtual University as a public sector, non-profit institution with a stated mission: to deliver extremely affordable world-class education to aspiring students across Pakistan. The first institution in Pakistan dedicated solely to modern technology and communication technologies. Using free-to-air satellite television broadcasts and the Internet, the Virtual University allows students to pursue its difficult programs regardless of their physical location. As a result, it attempts to address the lack of capacity in current universities while also addressing the country's severe scarcity of skilled teachers.

The Virtual Professorship seeks out the greatest academics in the country, regardless of their institutional ties, and asks them to design and deliver custom courses. It has grown to over a hundred locations across the country in a short period, with over a hundred and ninety connected universities providing logistical assistance to students. Students from a range of other countries in the region are also enrolled in the university's programs. In the future, the University's and WBM Care’s relationship will be shown advantageous. Students improve their academic knowledge and develop skills for future employment, the university improves its organizational effectiveness, the community benefits from increased employment, discretionary income, and a marketable manufacturing economy, and the university can fulfill its missions. Academics enhance the institution's public image, increase their research, and contribute to its image and standards. VU and WBM work together to constitute a complex and important part of university strategic planning. It is influenced by framework conditions, situational components, persons, and monetary availability; thus, Virtual University must factor these into their goals and plans.
